Farm Credit Services of America Announces Earnings For the First Nine Months of 2013

Net income for the first nine months of 2013 was $353.6 million compared to $343.0 million for the same period in 2012. Loan volume increased in the first nine months of 2013 to $19.182 billion and members’ equity increased to $3.576 billion.

Farm Credit Services of America Awards 44 Working Here Fund Grants in Iowa, Nebraska, South Dakota and Wyoming

FCSAmerica announced it has awarded 44 Working Here Fund grants totaling $74,200 to communities in Iowa, Nebraska, South Dakota and Wyoming. The Working Here Fund, established in April 2013, provides up to $2,000 each for projects and organizations that make a positive, long-term impact in FCSAmerica's four-state service territory.

Farm Credit Services of America Announces Mid-Year Earnings

Net income for the first six months of 2013 was $225.9 million compared to $233.9 million for the same period in 2012, reflecting a decrease of 3.4 percent. The decrease was primarily due to refunds of Farm Credit Insurance Fund premiums that were received in the second quarter of 2012. No refunds have been received in 2013.

Real Estate Trends as of July 1, 2013

Farm Credit Services of America monitors real estate value trends through semi-annual appraisals of 65 agricultural farms located throughout Iowa, Nebraska, South Dakota and Wyoming. While real estate sales activity continues, the first six months of 2013 had fewer real estate sales as compared to 2012, primarily due to the large number of real estate transactions that occurred in the latter part of last year.

Farm Credit Services of America Announces First Quarter 2013 Earnings

Net income for the first quarter was $110.1 million compared to $108.7 million for the same quarter in 2012. The increase in net income is primarily due to an increase in net interest income from loans partially offset by an increase in staffing related expenses.
