Our
Commitment

Dedicated to supporting our rural communities through volunteering, local contributions, grants and more.

Overview

Each dot on this map represents a project, program or organization supported by our 2022 community involvement program.

Serving rural America means more than financing those who farm and ranch.

As a mission-driven financial cooperative, we work every day to strengthen the communities we and our customer-owners call home.

Our community involvement program focuses on ag education, hunger and nutrition and rural disaster relief / essential services. We support these initiatives through employee volunteering, financial contributions and grants.

Agriculture Education

Early exposure to ag education is why many of us work in the industry today. Continued learning inspires, builds financial success and fosters innovation. We are proud to partner on projects that nurture future industry leaders, make farming safer, expand financial skills, support young and beginning producers and more.

Agricultural educators play a critical role in preparing the next generation in agriculture, however the journey to becoming an educator often requires navigating financial hurdles.

Hunger and Nutrition

Despite their proximity to farms and ranches, rural communities face many of the same hunger and nutrition problems as urban areas. We volunteer and provide financial support to help end the hunger cycle. We contribute to community gardens that produce nutritious food each growing season, sponsor mobile pantries to provide food to communities that otherwise wouldn’t have access and help keep food on the shelves of local food pantries and in the backpacks of school children.

Learn how farm to school and mobile pantry programs are helping to reduce hunger and food insecurity in the Heartland.

In Our Communities

Volunteering is one of many ways we serve the communities we and our customer-owners call home. Each year, we allocate 16+ hours of paid time to employees to volunteer at local organizations of their choosing. When employees volunteer as a group, we provide matching dollars to the organization.

We also match employees' direct donations to nonprofit organizations – up to $500 per employee per year to maximize their impact.
