Our
Commitment

Dedicated to supporting our rural communities through volunteering, local contributions, grants and more.

Overview

Each dot on this map represents a project, program or organization supported by our 2022 community involvement program.

Serving rural America means more than financing those who farm and ranch.

As a mission-driven financial cooperative, we believe in serving and enriching the rural communities where we live and work.

Our community involvement program focuses on ag education, young and beginning producers, hunger and nutrition, rural disaster relief and essential services. We support these initiatives through employee volunteering, financial contributions and grants.

Agriculture Education

We support a variety of efforts related to ag education including farm safety courses, urban and rural community outreach, Annie’s Project and more.

Agricultural educators play a critical role in preparing the next generation in agriculture, however the journey to becoming an educator often requires navigating financial hurdles.

Young and Beginning Producers

We believe in providing education, experiences and resources for those starting in agriculture. Farm Credit Services of America supports 4-H and FFA programs, awards college scholarships, hosts an annual Side by Side Conference and provides grants for a variety of young and beginning initiatives.

4-H and FFA students in northeastern Wyoming are gaining hands-on learning experience thanks to a ranching and rangeland management monitoring workshop created by Crook County Extension.

In Our Communities

Employees participate in our community involvement program through hands-on volunteer efforts. Annually, each employee is allocated eight hours of paid time to volunteer for an organization they choose to support. We also match employees’ donations to nonprofit organizations up to $300 per employee each year.

In 2022, employees volunteered more than 10,700 hours in their local communities through virtual and socially distanced efforts.

Tammi, employee since 2004
“We work to help our communities and we have a good time doing it. We know we’re helping a good cause. And people are so thankful. Non-profit organizations need a lot of help.” – Tammi, employee since 2004
