Omaha, Nebraska (February 19, 2014) – The Farm Credit Services of America Board of Directors has appointed Mark Weiss of Omaha, Nebraska, as its newest director. He will serve a four-year term, beginning April 1.
Weiss fills one of two appointed seats on the board reserved for directors who are non-customers of the customer-owned cooperative. He replaces retiring board member Margaret Doyle of Waukee, Iowa, who has served on the board since August 1, 2006.
Weiss has nearly two decades of experience helping private and public companies develop and execute technology strategies. He most recently has served as executive director of technical services at the Nebraska Medical Center. He also has held senior leadership positions in the utility, telecom and financial sectors. Weiss has worked in software and hardware development, and has held positions as a university instructor and researcher.
