Celebrate National Cooperative Month

While National Cooperative Month comes around every October, producers like Matt and Jo of Hay Springs, Nebraska understand that the value of cooperative is year-round.

When you own part of cooperative like FCSAmerica, Matt says, “you know that they’re all working to help you succeed.”

At FCSAmerica, we are committed to using our financial strength to remain a dependable and reliable lender in both good and tough times. We also are committed to sharing our successes by returning a portion of our annual profits to our customer-owners to directly benefit them and their rural communities. Since 2004, FCSAmerica has distributed $1.3 billion in cash-back dividends.

Our cooperative model benefits producers and rural America in other important ways. The Board of Directors is passionate about FCSAmerica’s role in supporting rural organizations and programs through grants. In 2016, the last full year for which figures are available, FCSAmerica contributed more than $3 million to projects and initiatives that positively impacted agriculture. The cooperative also stays politically connected, advocating at the federal, state and local levels on behalf of producers. These are just some of the benefits that come with ownership in our cooperative.

But even producers who aren’t customer-owners gain from our business model. FCSAmerica’s existence fosters competitiveness, with lenders working hard to provide farmers and ranchers in our four states with attractive interest rates and quality service.

We thank our customer-owners for choosing FCSAmerica as their lender and look forward to many years of celebrating our cooperative business model.
