The donation campaign encourages participation in the Food Bank’s monthly giving program
Des Moines, IA (May 21, 2020) – For organizations like Food Bank of Iowa, monthly donations are incredibly important to keep operations running—especially in challenging times like those created by COVID-19. To help multiply monthly giving, Farm Credit Services of America (FCSAmerica) has announced a $25,000 matching donation to the hunger-fighting organization.
FCSAmerica recognizes the importance of monthly donations and is helping multiply the impact when new donors create recurring donations. Through this partnership, FCSAmerica will donate $100 for every donor who signs up to give a donation of $10 or more each month. At Food Bank of Iowa, monthly donors are inducted into the Meal Makers Society for their efforts to help create a hunger-free Iowa.

The need for resources continues to grow in light of COVID-19 as everyone—including children, seniors and increasingly vulnerable populations—find themselves struggling to find safe access to the nutrition and resources they need. Food Bank of Iowa saw record distribution numbers in the month of April and anticipates the need will continue to grow.
