Our business approach

We have diversified roles on the farm, mainly to play to our strengths and our expertise. I take care of the crops and my brother Doug does most of the work with the livestock. We both have a niche.

Why I chose agriculture

My great-grandfather settled here, and as long as I can remember, I always wanted to farm here. Now I want my son to have that same opportunity.

FCSAmerica’s role in our farm’s future

Since we had been struggling with a labor shortage in the past, I really appreciate that our sons want to help us and work into the operation. I think someday this farm will be in good hands with them, and FCSAmerica will support us and them. With FCSAmerica, the future will be good.

What we enjoy most about farming

Farming is a great lifestyle. It’s been a lot of hard work, but I love being independent and being able to do what I want to do.
