Why we chose agriculture

We both grew up on farms. When my dad retired, I decided to work off the farm for a while. When we got married, I started farming again with Charlotte and her dad. I couldn’t have asked for a better place to raise a family and see my grandchildren grow.

Our business’s approach

When we got our first tractor with auto-steer, I was lost. Now if I have to go five minutes without it, I can’t do it. I’ve learned how important it is to adopt new technologies to be able to stay in business.

The future of our operation

We are a family farm operation. We know we need to purchase land and expand to be able to keep the farm viable for the sixth generation. FCSAmerica is willing to help us make the smart decisions such as when the time is right to purchase land. They want us to be able to grow our farm.

What I enjoy most about farming

I get to work with family and be part of the family business. There are lots of long hours but the rewards are worth it. I’m proud to have been able to raise my children this way.
