I was born and raised on our dairy farm, so it was natural for me to want to dairy, too. I really enjoy working with my family.

It’s difficult to figure out the big picture and have a clear vision of the future. Acquiring more land to farm is not easy, and we’re always evaluating when and how to purchase needed big-ticket items.

I’ve tried to observe my dad and learn from him. In college, my dad rented me a piece of ground as long as I stayed in school and came home to work in the summer. I paid all the going costs and learned I can do what I love and make money.

We’ll continue to modernize the dairy farm and become as efficient as possible.

I like working with my parents on a daily basis.

We share a similar philosophy and, practically speaking, the interest rates are attractive. Our financial officer has a ‘let’s figure this out’ attitude. He wants to discuss new ideas with us and help us figure out how to grow. The customer service is outstanding. When we have papers that need to be signed, they bring them to us.
