Prices

  • Yield Protection — 55–100% of commodity contract traded on specified commodity exchange.
  • Actual Production History — 55-100% of RMA-established price (for crops where there is no commodity exchange price provision).

Coverage Level

  • CAT, 50%, 55%, 60%, 65% 70%, 75%, 80%, 85%.

Eligible Crops

  • Plans may be available on barley, canola/rapeseed, corn, dry beans, forage production, grain sorghum, hybrid seed corn, millet, oats, popcorn, rye, soybeans, sugar beets, sunflowers and wheat.

Units

  • Enterprise, basic and optional.

Losses

  • Paid when Actual Yield is less than the Production Guarantee due to a covered peril.

Additional Coverages

  • At any level of coverage over CAT, late planting, prevented planting and replant coverage are part of the policy. High-risk land rates and written agreements are available.
  • High-risk land rates and written agreements are available.
  • If enrolled in Price Loss Coverage (PLC), the Supplemental Coverage Option (SCO) can be added to a YP policy. It adds area-based coverage to individual insurance plans.

Available to all qualifying producers regardless of race, color, national origin, gender, religion, age, disability, political beliefs, sexual orientation, and marital or family status.
