Farm Credit Services of America Supports Nebraska Ranchers with $250,000 Wildfire Relief Donation

Omaha, Neb. (March 30, 2026) - Farm Credit Services of America (FCSAmerica) announced it is contributing $250,000 to support wildfire relief and recovery efforts across Nebraska, reinforcing the cooperative’s longstanding commitment to agriculture and supporting rural communities.

Of the total donation, $200,000 will support the Nebraska Cattlemen’s Relief Fund, which provides direct assistance to producers across the state impacted by recent wildfires. The remaining $50,000 will be donated to the Kearney Community Foundation’s Nebraska Sandhills Rancher Fire Relief Fund, focusing on recovery efforts related to the Morrill fires and supporting ranchers and communities in Garden, Morrill, Arthur, Keith, and Grant counties.

“Wildfires have caused devastating losses for Nebraska’s agricultural producers and rural communities,” said Mark Jensen, FCSAmerica’s chief executive officer. “As a cooperative owned by the farmers and ranchers we serve, we believe it’s our responsibility to stand with our neighbors during times of crisis. These producers are incredibly resilient, but recovery takes time and resources, and we’re committed to being part of the solution.”

The Nebraska Cattlemen’s Relief Fund distributes donations directly to affected producers statewide to assist with urgent needs such as livestock loss, feed, fencing, and long-term recovery efforts. More information about the fund and how donations are used is available at: https://www.nebraskacattlemen.org/disaster-relief-fund

The Nebraska Sandhills Rancher Fire Relief Fund, administered by the Kearney Community Foundation, provides targeted assistance to individuals and families impacted by the Morrill fires, helping address immediate and longer-term disaster recovery needs in affected counties. FCSAmerica supports farmers, ranchers and rural communities across Nebraska, Iowa, South Dakota, and Wyoming. Supporting disaster relief efforts aligns with FCSAmerica's mission to provide reliable financial services, risk management tools and community investment to help agriculture thrive - especially during challenging times.

“When producers hurt, entire communities feel it,” Jensen added. “Our hope is that these contributions provide not only financial support, but also encouragement—reminding those affected that they are not facing this alone.”
