Farm Credit Services of America (FCSAmerica) awarded $601,040 in Working Here Fund grants in the second quarter of 2023. This brings the amount awarded through our Working Here Fund grants to more than $7 million since 2013.

The 130 non-profit organizations listed below received grants to support agriculture and rural communities with projects that address one of the following areas: agricultural education; young and beginning, hunger and nutrition; or rural disaster assistance and essential services.

These projects include greenhouses, rescue equipment, FFA support, food pantries, agriculture education materials and many others. A grant in Nebraska will help an FFA chapter convert a greenhouse into a functioning poultry lab. Eight grants throughout South Dakota, Iowa, and Nebraska will fund ambulances and/or ambulance equipment. And an Iowa grant will help support and train beginning producers through livestock education.

We recently refreshed our grant program to offer more financial support, sized to meet the needs of small and large projects. Nonprofit organizations in Iowa, Nebraska, South Dakota and Wyoming whose projects align with the mission of our grant program can now apply for up to $5,000 each quarter. Twice a year, we are awarding grants of up to $15,000 and up to $25,000.

FCSAmerica is accepting grant applications for the third quarter of 2023 through September 30. To learn about the requirements and apply online, visit the Working Here Fund Grants page.
