Farm Credit Services of America Announces 2026 Board Election Results

OMAHA, NEBR. (August 26, 2026) Farm Credit Services of America (FCSAmerica) stockholders elected four agricultural producers and one Director was appointed by the Board to the financial cooperative’s Board of Directors.

Susan K. Voss, North English, IA, was re-elected to serve a four-year term beginning on September 1, 2026. Voss is an officer and director of BS Farms Inc., a family corn, soybean, hay, and cow-calf operation, and chair of BS Lands, LLC, which holds real estate. Voss was a certified public accountant and has more than 35 years of business experience in tax, audit, and consulting services for small- to medium-size family farm operations, agribusinesses, and a variety of other business entities. She is currently the chief financial officer (CFO) for Ralston Construction Inc. and its related entities. Voss also serves as a director for the Farm Credit Foundations (FCF) and FCF Plan Sponsor Committee boards. She currently serves as the FCSAmerica Board Human Capital Committee Chair. Voss has served on the Board since 2014.

Ryan S. Kelly, O’Neill, NE, joins the Board and will serve a four-year term beginning on September 1, 2026. Kelly co-owns and manages a family operation of irrigated crop production that involves corn, popcorn, and soybeans, as well as cow-calf, backgrounding, and cattle finishing. The operations also include a feed mill, trucking business, and property acquisition. Kelly will also serve as a board member of the O’Neill Public School.

Jason Frerichs, Wilmot, SD, was re-elected to serve a four-year term beginning on September 1, 2026. Frerichs owns and operates a multi-generational family farming operation that includes soybeans, corn, wheat, and alfalfa, as well as a cow-calf and yearling operation. He currently serves as the FCSAmerica Board Governance Committee Chair and as a member of the AgriBank District Farm Credit Council. Frerichs has served on the Board since 2022.

Darren Fehr, Mallard, IA, joins the Board and will serve a one-year term beginning on September 1, 2026. Fehr owns and operates a family farming operation that grows 100% certified organic corn, soybeans, dry edible beans, oats, and cover crops. He also is a Beck’s Hybrids seed dealer. Fehr currently serves as the secretary on the Board of Country Maid, Inc.

Mark Weiss, Denver, CO, has been re-appointed by the Board as an appointed Director effective September 1, 2026, with a four-year term. Weiss is the chief technology officer for Platte River Power Authority, a public power provider serving Northern Colorado. His experience includes technology leadership, cybersecurity, and risk management. Weiss is a certified information systems security professional and has completed the National Association of Corporate Directors’ Cyber Risk Oversight Program. He also holds the CERT Certificate in Cybersecurity Oversight. He currently serves as secretary of the Claremont Square Community Association Board. Weiss has served as an appointed Director for the Association since 2014.

Duane Kristensen, Minden, NE, will be retiring from the Board of Directors effective August 31, 2026. Kristensen has served as a stockholder-elected member of the FCSAmerica Board since 2022, and the Board recognizes his dedication to the stockholders and years of service to the cooperative.

FCSAmerica is governed by a Board of Directors that reflects its customer-stockholders with representation of the different types of agriculture practiced in the Association’s territory of Iowa, Nebraska, South Dakota and Wyoming. The Board consists of twelve Directors elected by customer-stockholders, as well three Directors that are appointed by the Board to provide additional perspectives.
