What I enjoy most about farming

My passion is the farm. I learn something new every day, and I always am doing something different. Working with my dad, we get along really well. I have a passion for working for myself and seeing progress and success.

They’re so easy to work with. By establishing trust and being able to work so well together, they make it easier to sleep at night because I don’t have to worry about them not being there to help me reach my goals.

How FCSAmerica helps me meet my greatest challenges

Understanding the markets in a way that allows me to become a better farmer and be successful is a big challenge for me as I continue to take a larger role in the operation. It worries me sometimes how fast you can make or lose money because of how volatile the markets are today. That’s where I feel lucky to have FCSAmerica to help me get further into the financial side of things.

My advice to other young producers

The more I get into it, the more I learn how aggressive I need to be. It’s important to learn as much as you can about what it takes to manage an operation and how aggressive to be in pursuing growth opportunities.
