Why I chose agriculture

My dad, Bill, was farming when he started the company in 1954 by selling oats to other farmers. I spent a lot of time as a kid around the business and fell in love with it in high school, working as much as I could after school and sports. I was hesitant to go to college because I knew I wanted to work for our family’s business, but I did earn a four-year degree and then returned home.
