Both of our families have a long history of farming, five generations for me and seven for Etta. I knew that I wanted to farm by the time I went to kindergarten.

We want to own our land, be as efficient as possible and grow slowly but steadily.

We will constantly evaluate our current operations, stay open to new opportunities and not be afraid to try something that’s outside our comfort zone.

When our daughter was 2 ½ years old, we were watching feeder calves being off-loaded. She told me, “Daddy, I a little farmer. You a big farmer – and I love semis!” It’s nice to be somebody’s hero.

We don’t believe any other lender has a staff as strong as our local FCSAmerica office. We’ve never, ever walked away without feeling like we’ve been served well by a competent employee.
