Why I chose agriculture

I was a controller for a Sears store when my wife’s father, Bill Merschman, wanted to hire a full-time accountant, as well as install a computer-based billing and accounting system. I had computer installation experience at Sears, and it was a good opportunity to become part of a solid company. It also allowed us to set down roots for raising a family.
