I was a controller for a Sears store when my wife’s father, Bill Merschman, wanted to hire a full-time accountant, as well as install a computer-based billing and accounting system. I had computer installation experience at Sears, and it was a good opportunity to become part of a solid company. It also allowed us to set down roots for raising a family.

Our customers’ success will create our success. We plan sustainable growth thinking about decisions with a long-term perspective.

My son is part of the third generation in the company. That gives continuity to the operation going into the future. With the collaborations we have, we are poised to be one of the best connected mid-sized seed companies.

We’ve seen significant growth since I joined the family business and it’s really meaningful to be a part of that.
