Central Plains Dairies Have a Competitive Advantage

Dairy operators in the Central Plains are in an extremely competitive position globally. Sarina Sharp, a market analyst for the “Daily Dairy Report” and a Farm Credit-sponsored speaker at the Central Plains Dairy Expo, notes that the grain-producing Central Plains is the home of cheap feed, with producers in other parts of the U.S. and the world paying a premium to ship the feed to their dairies.
