Crop Insurance Information

Supplemental Coverage Option

Producers can elect Supplemental Coverage Option (SCO) on their Multi-Peril Crop Insurance (MPCI) policy for any farm they do not enroll in the Agricultural Risk Coverage program in a given year. Watch video to learn more.

SCO provides an additional band of coverage from their chosen level of MPCI to 86% of their Actual Production History (APH)-based value of their crop.

Regardless of the underlying policy, its indemnity trigger is based on county outcomes rather than individual farms.
