Farm Credit Services of America Customer-Owners Elect Four to Board of Directors

OMAHA, NEBRASKA - (March 23, 2018) - Farm Credit Services of America (FCSAmerica) stockholders elected four agricultural producers to the financial cooperative’s Board of Directors. A fifth Director was appointed to the Board. All will serve a four-year term, beginning April 1, 2018, and running through March 31, 2022.

Stockholders elected the following customer-owners:

Robert Bruxvoort, of New Sharon, Iowa, is president of Bruxvoort Ag, Inc., a farming operation, and partner in Madison Pork, L.L.C., a contract hog-finishing business. Bruxvoort has served on the FCSAmerica Board since 2008.

Tom Farwell, of Humboldt, Nebraska, operates a family farm, raising corn, soybeans, wheat and brome hay. An Angus cow-calf herd supplies feeders, and additional feeders are purchased for finishing. Farwell is president of the Nebraska Gideon’s Southeast Camp. He replaces Jeremy Heitmann, a Bryon, Nebraska, producer who retires from the Board of Directors effective March 31, 2018.

John Reisch, of Howard, South Dakota, is president of Reisch Farms, Inc., a wheat, soybean and alfalfa operation that also includes cattle-feeding and cow-calf enterprises. Reisch serves on the Howard Township and Howard Industries, Inc., boards. He has served on the FCSAmerica Board since 2008.

Susan Voss, of North English, Iowa, is secretary and treasurer of BS Farms, Inc., a family corn and soybean operation, and a certified public accountant at TD&T CPAs and Advisors, P.C. She is a member of the Oskaloosa Branch of Altrusa and Iowa Women in Agriculture. Voss has served on the FCSAmerica Board since 2014.

Mark Weiss, of Omaha, Nebraska, was re-appointed to a term that begins April 1, 2018, and runs through March 31, 2022. Weiss is the chief information officer at NTT Security (US), Inc. He has senior leadership experience with organizations engaged in the business of healthcare, gas and water utilities, telecom, financial services and software development. His first appointment began in 2014.

FCSAmerica is governed by a Board of Directors that reflects the diversity of agriculture in the Association’s four states of Iowa, Nebraska, South Dakota and Wyoming.  Twelve Directors are elected customer-owners and three are appointed by the Board for their outside expertise.
