Farm Credit Services of America Customer-Owners Elect Three Midwest Producers to Board of Directors

Omaha, Nebraska – Farm Credit Services of America (FCSAmerica) stockholders elected three Midwest producers to four-year terms on the organization’s Board of Directors effective April 1, 2013:  Nicholas Hunt of Atlantic, Iowa; Dan Shaw of Edgar, Nebraska; and Kim Vanneman of Ideal, South Dakota. Their terms end March 31, 2017. All three joined the Board January 1, 2007.

Nicholas Hunt owns and operates a fourth-generation family farm raising corn, soybeans, alfalfa, and a commercial cow operation and cattle feedlot. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Dartmouth College and is a Certified Director in the Premier Governance Series, an in-depth Farm Credit System director development program.

Dan Shaw operates a family farm raising corn, soybeans and wheat and a commercial cow-calf herd. He attended Nebraska Wesleyan University studying business and economics. Shaw is a Certified Director in the Premier Governance Series.

Kim Vanneman owns and operates a third-generation diversified family farm that includes row crops, small grain and hay, finishing feeder pigs and a commercial beef cow herd. She holds a bachelor’s degree in animal science and business from South Dakota State University and served in the South Dakota Legislature from 2007-2012. Vanneman is a Certified Director in the Premier Governance Series.
