Pierre Operations and Staff Occupied Temporary Space Due to Summer Flooding
Pierre, SD – (September 29, 2011) – Farm Credit Services of America (FCSAmerica) is moving its business operations from its temporary Pierre, South Dakota office back to its original office location at 123 West Missouri Avenue in Pierre, due to the improved flood situation. FCSAmerica will be fully operational and serving customers from its permanent office location on Monday, October 3rd.
“We are excited to get back to our office and serve customers from our West Missouri Avenue location,” said Bob Schmidt, senior vice president. “We offer our support to Pierre and surrounding communities affected by this summer’s flooding.”

In late May, due to the rising waters along the Missouri River, FCSAmerica’s Pierre office evacuated its facility and moved to a temporary location on Highway 34. After evacuation, FSCAmerica was able to serve customers from the temporary space. The retention of all key confidential customer information was secured and no permanent damage was done to the West Missouri Avenue facility over the summer.
