Like the farmers and ranchers we serve, we understand the importance of a good turn for a neighbor. But sometimes it takes a map like the one below to show how each volunteer hour and each donation adds up to something bigger – to a stronger community for all of us.
We are releasing our third annual Community Impact Report this week to highlight the difference that can be made through agriculture education, hunger relief, emergency services and young, beginning and small producer programs. We are honored that so many of people allowed us to be part of their programs through volunteer activities grants, scholarships and donations.
Reflected in the map is the more than $2.3 million FCSAmerica donated in 2014 to programs and organization, including $304,000 in Working Here Fund grants and $104,000 in university and community college scholarships. In addition, FCSAmerica employees devoted more than 6,100 volunteer hours to support the communities where they work and live, to hundreds of organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, Project Harmony, local foodbanks and local charities.
Beyond the numbers are stories that provide a fuller picture of the programs we support. We invite you to
