American farmers are the most productive food producers in the world. This fall, to honor farmers during harvest time, FCSAmerica is partnering with Hy-Vee grocery stores to feature five of our customer-owners on the backs of Hy-Vee brand cereal boxes. The cereal will be available in 237 stores across the Midwest.

The cereal box ads encourage consumers to give a “spoon salute” to the hard-working people who keep our cereal bowls full. For every spoon salute that’s posted on Facebook and Twitter this fall, FCSAmerica will donate money to area food banks to help share the abundance with more people in our local communities.

• Take a photo or video of your own #SpoonSalute rendition. Here are some ideas to get you started:

• Write a short message that thanks farmers and ranchers – and tag your friends and family who work in agriculture to invite them to join the campaign.


• Post your message:
  • On Twitter – Include @fcsamerica and the hashtag #SpoonSalute in your tweet. (Unfortunately if your Twitter account is set to private, we won’t be able to see your tweets.)
  • On Facebook – Include @fcsamerica and the hashtag #SpoonSalute in your post, and set the post to public so we can see it.
  • Or, easier yet, post your #SpoonSalute on our FCSAmerica Facebook page.
