2015 Election Results

Farm Credit Services of America (FCSAmerica) announced election results on March 26, 2015.

The following stockholders were elected as Directors of the Association:

Director Race 1:  Steve Henry, Nevada, IA was the successful candidate. Jerry Helmers, Melvin, IA was the other candidate in this race. Steve Henry has served on the Board since January 1, 2011.

Director Race 2: Jim Ehlers, Newell, IA was the successful candidate.  Alan Steffens, Clermont, IA was the other candidate in this race. Jim Ehlers has served on the Board since January 1, 2009.

Director Race 3: Randy Peters, McCook, NE was the successful candidate.  Rick Metzger, Morris, MN was the other candidate in this race.  Randy Peters has served on the Board since January 1, 2003.

Director Race 4: Rick Maxfield, Lyman, WY was the successful candidate.  Mike Lohse, Kaycee, WY and Neil Schlenker, Meeteetse, WY were the other candidates in this race.  

FCSAmerica Director Appointment: At their meetings in February 2015, the FCSAmerica Board of Directors appointed L. James (Jim) Kortan, Omaha, NE to the board effective April 1, 2015. Mr. Kortan is a retired partner with Deloitte & Touche and brings significant background and experience working with information technology, strategic planning, risk management, internal control, regulatory compliance and business process improvement projects.

FCSAmerica Board Vacancy: The AgriBank, FCB stockholders elected Nick Vande Weerd, Brookings, SD to their Board of Directors earlier this month. He served on the FCSAmerica Board since November 1, 2011 and his current term would have ended on March 31, 2016.  This created a vacancy on the FCSAmerica Board. The Board will make a determination on filling this vacancy in accordance with the Association’s bylaws.
